The Academy challenge?
Founded in 1993, the European Baroque Academy is one
of the longest running European projects designed to train
and offer a professional plateform in the Early Music sphere.
From 2008, the Ambronay Cultural Centre will diversify
its programme in response to the needs and challenges
of contemporary trends.
Three professional specialisations :
An apprenticeship in baroque opera through participation in
a large-scale production combining singing, orchestral playing,
theatre and dance.
Development of the art of the orchestral player, section leader
and soloist in the concert arena.
The ‘one voice to a part' principle enables the study of the soloist's
craft within a production of 10 to 15 instrumentalists and singers.
