Named a « Centre culturel de rencontre » (Cultural Encounter Centre) since 2003,
Ambronay is a site where culture is offered to all, a site open to
life. Children, teenagers, amateurs, professionals, researchers,
students, international performing artists, young professionals...
Ambronay provides a creative space for the development of everyone.
For students and young musicians, the European Baroque Academy and the
master classes provide multiple international projects for improvement
and professional insertion.
For young people, Ambronay provides artistic and teaching schemas "à la
carte", including the possibility of taking part in cultural
classes.
For amateur musicians, every year the Festival Choir brings together
between thirty and forty choral singers to work with well-known choir
directors.
The research centre of Ambronay, which has chosen as its theme for
artistic reflection "Music and the Sacred", branches out in
different directions: researchers and creative artists work
together to explore the intellectual, human, social and artistic
ramifications of this theme. Continuing its goal of the professional
insertion of young musicians and researchers, Ambronay will develop its
productions in order to encourage the emergence of the talents of
tomorrow.
To complete the picture, Ambronay's own record label has been distributed by harmonia mundi since 2005.
Thanks to the support of its institutional sponsors, a new phase of
restoration and valorisation of its cultural heritage is beginning. The
number of artist residencies should increase and business seminars will
be welcomed.
Ambronay: a site for quality, curiosity and creativity.
