Officina Zoé

The bite of the tarantula is renowned throughout the region of Salento in southern Italy. Once bitten, men and women feel that they are quite literally possessed. They are gripped by convulsions, fever and an irresistible desire to go wild, to dance… Officina Zoé revives the tradition of the pizzica tarantata, music which is quite literally exorcising. Led by the voice of Cinzia Marco, the group revives an ancestral tradition and invites us to a lively celebration accompanied by the sound of tambourines.
