History

Since its creation in 1993, the Baroque Academy has constitued an important developmental step for young artists at the outset of the career. With the dinamic created by the designation of ambronay as a Cultural Encounter centre, the Académy is today one of Europe's leading training and professional integration projects.

As an aid to professional integration, it forms a cross-European network of artists, links students of the Academy with the artistic projects of The Cultural Encounter Centre (the Ambronay Festival, productions, recordings, arts and cultural projects) and plays an important role in encouraging communication between established professionals and the artists of the future.
