Ambronay's publications
Practical guides, essays, musicological and historical works,
collections of articles - Ambronay's publications bear witness to the
work of the Centre, and act as a unifying thread for its diverse
activities. Ambronay Editions aims to provide reading and listening
materials to all those interested in the contemporary issues of the
arts, the sacred, politics and anthropology.
‘Les Actes du colloque ‘musique et sacré'
is the first work produced by Ambronay Editions, and puts forward the
foundations of the research topic chosed by the Cultural Encounter
Centre.
Ambronay Records
For a quarter of a century, Ambronay has played privileged host to the
coming together of accomplished musicians with the exceptional
acoustics of its ancient stonework. To create a permanent record of
these magical moments, the Cultural Encounter Centre has created its
own record label.
Characterised by the warm and resonant acoustics of the Abbey for large
scale productions, and by the crystal-clear tones of the Tour Dauphine
for smaller recitals, Ambronay recordings aim to recall the greatest
moments of the Cultural Encounter Centre, around its theme of music and
the sacred, and also to provide musical experiences which are
reflective, imaginative and emotional.
For the thousands of music-lovers who attend its festival each year,
Ambronay recordings are a souvenir of music discovered and enjoyed,
memorable encounters and performances by much-loved artists. For the
musicians and researchers, the recordings document an original approach
which brings together musical, intellectual and artistic practices. For
all, Ambronay is a guarantee of quality and a mark of choice, discovery
and creativity.
